EPIC Project Budget Planner

This planner is designed to help organisations sketch a realistic budget for a monitoring network that could support an EPIC-style project. It covers AirGradient low-cost hardware, optional reference or near-reference devices, installation, shipping, and customs or VAT assumptions. It also reflects the planning direction we recommend most often for EPIC-style projects: a larger low-cost network paired with one reference or near-reference device.

Answer a couple of quick framing questions, then adjust the hardware mix and landed-cost percentages on the dashboard. This tool is for planning only. It is not an eligibility checklist and it is not an official EPIC budget template.

National impact does not require nationwide coverage

A well-placed network can support national-level action without trying to monitor an entire country at once. What matters most is choosing locations that are relevant for policy, public health, or public debate, and generating credible PM2.5 data that can be used in conversations with government and other national stakeholders.
